Job summary

Purple Lime Accountancy is seeking a Management Accountant to manage client portfolios, produce management information, and lead a small team. The role emphasizes technical accounting, commercial awareness, and strong client communication in a hybrid Wiltshire/Bristol/London client base.

The candidate should be a qualified accountant with experience in statutory accounts, forecasting, and tax planning, and capable of leading others while building trusted relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with sound technical knowledge.
• Experience as a qualified accountant in industry and/or practice.
• ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients with lead accounting and finance input.
• Prepare business plans & forecasts with clients using Excel or forecasting software.
• Produce annual statutory accounts, confirmation statements, and compliance work.
• Conduct pre-year end checks to identify risks and opportunities in financial reporting and tax planning.
• Identify tax efficient planning opportunities for clients and deliver to completion.
• Produce monthly management information and KPI dashboards for clients.
• Attend client board meetings to review financial performance and set strategic goals.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain supporting schedules.
• Provide training and consultancy advice to clients.
• Identify opportunities for additional services to existing or new clients.
• Oversee Assistant Management Accountants and prioritise workloads.
