Description And Tasks
Role Purpose

Responsible for ensuring the integrity of data in the accounting system, supporting the Finance Manager with timely and accurate delivery. To provide financial information and to support managers/business to enable effective decisions. Role reports to the Finance Manager.


Main Duties/responsibilities
  • Maintain the Cashflow forecast, prepare weekly rolling forecast information, reconciliations and submit monthly forecasts in summary and Cognos.
  • Produce monthly intrastat and EC sales to the required timescales for Slovakian & Austrian VAT returns.
  • Provide information on European taxation to agents and manage VAT preparation for Slovakia and Austria.
  • Ensure that all prepayments, provisions and accruals are correctly accounted for and the Income Statement and Balance Sheet are a true reflection of the company.
  • Assist with all Management Accounts preparation that is submitted to both local and group management.
  • Analyse actual expenditure against budget or forecasted level and advise management of cost saving opportunities.
  • Perform Balance Sheet GL reconciliations, investigate and resolve variances.
  • Report and maintain the company fixed asset register including management reporting on any CAPEX items.
  • Produce daily and monthly stock reports and analysis of slow moving stock, reconcile obsolete stock to Group file.
  • Ensure that all Standard costings are performed in an accurate and timely manner and investigate and resolve issues generated by the standard costing process.
  • Assist with the yearly statutory audit process.
  • Assist with the preparation of the corporation tax returns.
  • Preparation of forecasts and budgets.
  • Support the finance team in all areas, as required.
  • Ensure all finance procedures are documented and reviewed periodically.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IATF 16949.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Ltd Health and Safety Policy.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to Bulten Ltd Environmental Policy.
  • To assist as required with any other reasonable request in line with business needs or customer/client requirements.

Candidate Profile
Essential
Experience and knowledge required for the role
  • ACCA / CIMA Part qualified or Qualified.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in management accounting.
  • Strong IT skills with ability to use core systems and Microsoft office suite.

Desirable
  • Degree Qualification.
  • Experience of international VAT.
  • Experience of Standard costing & associated reporting.

Our Offer

This is a full time, permanent opportunity working in our Scunthorpe office.

35 hours per week, Monday - Friday 08:30am - 16:30pm with a 1 hour unpaid break for lunch.

25 days holidays plus recognised bank holidays.

Salary is competitive and dependant on experience level.

8% non-contributory pension paid from day 1.
