Job description

Management Accountant (Part Time 3 days per week)

We are recruiting for a part-time Management Accountant to help drive strong financial performance and support strategic decisions. This role is ideal for someone with solid experience in financial management, particularly within the engineering or construction industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and present monthly management accounts
  2. Control account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts, creditors, debtors, and banks.
  3. Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  4. Monitor and report on variances between actual and budgeted figures
  5. Analyse and report on cost structures, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  6. Support project managers in tracking project costs and ensuring adherence to budgets.
  7. Provide financial insights and analysis
  8. Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits
  9. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and financial institutions.

Essential Criteria:
  1. A degree in Accounting / Finance
  2. A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
  3. Proven experience in management accounting, preferably within the engineering or construction sectors

Desirable Criteria:
  1. Knowledge of Power BI

This role is 3 days per week; however, we are open to discussing with candidates who have a preference for part-time hours over 5 days.
