Description
  • Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple projects, including KPI reporting and tailored analysis for senior leadership.
  • Oversee group-level financial reporting activities.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet.
  • Coordinate and support the year-end audit process.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Keep fixed asset and stock registers up to date.
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting and analysis processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls, recommending enhancements when needed.
  • Produce weekly cash flow forecasts and reconcile inter-company transactions.
  • Track and evaluate financial performance against budgets and forecasts, highlighting key variances and areas for improvement.
  • Undertake additional finance-related tasks as requested by the Financial Controller or Finance Director
Profile

A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:

  • A relevant qualification in accounting or finance, or working towards one.
  • 1-2+ year's experience in management accounting within a large, complex organisation
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ambitious, proactive, and eager to develop professionally
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong Excel skills, confident handling large data sets and inter-company accounting
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • An understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.
