Description
- Prepare monthly management accounts for multiple projects, including KPI reporting and tailored analysis for senior leadership.
- Oversee group-level financial reporting activities.
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet.
- Coordinate and support the year-end audit process.
- Manage the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Keep fixed asset and stock registers up to date.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting and analysis processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls, recommending enhancements when needed.
- Produce weekly cash flow forecasts and reconcile inter-company transactions.
- Track and evaluate financial performance against budgets and forecasts, highlighting key variances and areas for improvement.
- Undertake additional finance-related tasks as requested by the Financial Controller or Finance Director
Profile
A successful Assistant Management Accountant should have:
- A relevant qualification in accounting or finance, or working towards one.
- 1-2+ year's experience in management accounting within a large, complex organisation
- Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Ambitious, proactive, and eager to develop professionally
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong Excel skills, confident handling large data sets and inter-company accounting
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- An understanding of accounting principles and compliance standards.
