Overview

Management Accountant (Part Qual) | £32,000 - £38,000 + Study | Wigan + Hybrid | High-level exposure and mentorship | Progression and development opportunities

Axon Moore is partnering with a leading business in Wigan to recruit a Part Qualified Management Accountant actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA. This varied and progressive role requires a driven individual who is able to manage and prioritise workload effectively whilst being hungry for success. Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and report packs for Group, including P&L, KPIs, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
  • Provide detailed analysis to improve performance across the business
  • Cost allocation posting with monthly reviews
  • Assist preparing annual budget and regular re-forecasts to Group, including the reporting, analysis and detailed budget commentary
  • Ensure robust financial control procedures, regularly reviewing systems and processes
  • Assist with year-end audit and ad-hoc internal audits
  • Assist with tax queries and preparation VAT returns and tax packs
  • Preparation of internal and external Group stakeholder reporting requirements
  • Review the weekly payment runs
  • Other ad-hoc duties as required
Required Experience and Skills
  • Actively pursuing ACCA or CIMA
  • At least 2 years\' experience within a similar role
  • Up to date knowledge of employee taxes, VAT and corporation tax
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational and time-keeping skills
  • High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role
  • Good IT and MS Excel skills, with Business Central experienced desired
