Job summary

SF Recruitment is partnering with a Peterborough-based PE-backed business to hire a Management Accountant. The role focuses on ownership of month-end reporting, detailed variance analysis and providing meaningful financial insight across multiple UK entities.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified or near qualification, with strong Excel skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to financial controls and commercial analysis.

Qualifications

• Qualified accounting designation or close to qualification and able to take ownership of reporting.
• Experience producing monthly management accounts and managing month-end processes.
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
• Good understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts across multiple UK entities with variance analysis and commentary.
• Own the month-end process, ensuring accurate reconciliations and strong financial controls.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations across the group.
• Review overheads, investigate variances and identify improvements.
• Prepare bank reconciliations for group and client accounts.
