One Frio is seeking a skilled Management Accountant to shape the finance function as we grow across Europe. You will own core accounting processes, prepare management accounts, and ensure timely close.
You will partner with sites across the group, enhance reporting, and push for automation while learning the business of cold storage and logistics. Hybrid working and competitive salary offered.
Help shape the finance function of a growing European company, and join us as our newManagement Accountant.
One Frio is a young, fast-growing network in temperature-controlled food logistics - formed by bringing together strong family businesses across the Netherlands and Ireland (Grolleman Cold store, Nedcool, Coenen Boxmeer, McCulla Ireland, Granville Food Services & KOG in Ireland). We provide reliable cold storage, warehousing, order picking, transport and end-to-end logistics for food products. As we integrate several companies into one group, there’s real room to influence how things are done.
That’s what makes this role interesting. You’ll be strong in the fundamentals of accounting - and you’ll also enjoy looking beyond them: thinking about how processes can be smarter, how reporting can be more useful, and how finance can genuinely support the business. If you’re looking for a place where your ideas are welcome and you can grow with the company, we’d love to talk.
You’ll be responsible for a correct, complete and timely administration across the general ledger - and you’ll have the space to help improve how that work gets done.
Own the core.Full preparation of management accounts, journal entries, balance-sheet specifications, VAT reconciliations, and month-, quarter- and year-end close - reliably and on time.
Keep it clean across the group.Reconcile intercompany positions, review and tidy suspense accounts, and maintain a clear audit trail across a multi-entity group.
Improve as you go.Identify where processes could be more efficient, and help shape better ways of working - including more automation - so finance can scale well as we grow.
Understand the business.Spend time with the sites, learn how cold storage and logistics work, and turn that understanding into reporting and insight leadership can use.
Build with us.Work closely with the regional finance director and across our group companies as we bring systems and ways of working together.
You bring solid experience - this isn’t an entry-level role - and you’re keen to take on more responsibility and impact as you develop.
Relevant industry experience or ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified / part - qualified accountant
2-5 years of relevant experience in finance/accounting
Comfortable in ERP systems and confident in Excel
Accurate, analytical and structured - and curious, with an eye for improvement
Hands-on and proactive
These values guide how we work together, and they’re part of how we recognise and develop people. We’d love to see them reflected in how you approach the role:
We are not spectators. You take ownership of outcomes and are happy to step up beyond your immediate tasks.
We move fast and fix forward. You’re comfortable making decisions, adopting new tools, and keeping things practical and lean.
We say what needs to be said. You share your views openly and address issues directly - always with respect.
We earn the next load. You deliver consistently to a high standard and build trust through your work.
We respect what was here before us.You listen, value local expertise, and build together with people across our sites.
You’ll join a growing, innovative company with a clear mission and a sustainable way of working - at a moment when your contribution can really shape how things develop. Expect genuine ownership, a friendly and entrepreneurial culture that values teamwork and practical impact, and the chance to help build a finance function rather than simply step into one.
