MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - LUXURY RETAILER - UP TO £65K!

Your new company

A high-end, luxury retailer is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team! The business has grown by 25% in the last year and has many exciting projects on the way. Therefore, they need someone hands-on who can support the business growth. This role involves management accounts, business partnering, small team management, and project support. There is potential for progression to Finance Manager within the next 2 years! The client seeks qualified finance professionals with management accounting experience—ideally within retail, consumer, or product-led sectors.

Your new role

• Ownership of management accounts
• Month-end duties
• Prepare and review variance analysis reports, comparing actual results against budgets and forecasts. Provide explanations for variances and assist in recommending corrective actions.
• Provide input into month-end activities with key commentary on movements and deep dives into problem areas.
• Manage a small finance team of 2 juniors.
• Support external audits.
• VAT & internal controls.
• Cross-functional business partnering.
• Ad-hoc project work.
• Proactively identify and implement areas for improvement.

What you'll need to succeed

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with management accounting experience. Experience within retail or consumer sectors is preferred, but candidates from other sectors are encouraged to apply. You should have the drive and motivation to lead a small team and support the company's growth. Ambition to progress to Finance Manager as the current manager advances is desirable.
