Job summary

A specialist provider of health services is seeking an interim Management Accountant due to growth. The role involves preparing monthly management accounts and ensuring timely and accurate accounting records. Ideal candidates will be ACCA or CIMA qualified with at least 3 years management accounting experience. Job description

I am working with a specialist provider of health services, who has built a reputation of high-quality, patient-focused care.

Due to growth, they are looking for an interim Management Accountant to assist them during this busy period.

The role holder is to be accountable for, preparing monthly management accounts.

The role will assist in all accounting functions in the business and will ensure that all accounting records are appropriately kept and produced in a timely manner. The role is responsible for preparing monthly accounts and includes managing the accounts clerks in the business.

Role Responsibilities

Reporting

  • Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts.
  • Provide commentary and reports to senior management on financial performance.
  • Monitor and report on capital expenditure activity.
  • Working with hospital managers to identify areas of improvement.
  • Ensuring all transactions are recorded, filed and reported timely and accurately.
  • Fixed asset register reconciliations

General

  • Support the wider finance team in purchase ledger and payroll processing, management, and control of consumable stocks, and answering general queries.
  • Prepare regular balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the Finance Management team on ad hoc projects as required.
  • Produce clear, legible, and consistent written documentation.

Professional

  • Must be qualified ACCA / CIMA
  • 3 Years of management accounting experience
