Job description

Looking for a qualified finance professional to join an industry leading Broadcasting company for a contract role based from their Cardiff office. Paying £300 a day inside IR35, this is a 5 month contract starting ASAP and offer hybrid working 2 days a week from the office.

This role will provide expert financial support across a range of internal stakeholders, ensuring strong control over financial processes and delivering operational excellence. The successful candidate will also play a key role in the ongoing improvement of finance functions and organisational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Deliver timely and accurate financial analysis and commentary to support decision-making.
  • Assist with the preparation and review of short-term plans and budgets.
  • Identify trends and provide supporting insights for planning purposes.

Accounting & Reporting:

  • Monitor, review, and update financial forecasts.
  • Maintain and report on short-term financial performance, comparing actual expenditure against budgets.
  • Support year-end closure activities and statutory reporting processes.

Controls & Compliance:

  • Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and internal controls.
  • Contribute to the development, testing, and review of new financial methods and practices.
  • Promote and enforce internal finance policies and procedures.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

  • A professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience delivering high-quality accounting and financial reporting services.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to simplify complex financial data for a non-financial audience.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and internal control frameworks.
