Job description

Management Accountant - Immediate Start

Your new company
Hays Accountancy and Finance are working with a large non-profit organization in the NI market for an immediate start for a Management Accountant.

Your new role

  1. Production of monthly management accounts in line with the reporting timetable, providing financial support to budget holders.
  2. Analyse and resolve financial queries raised by budget managers/holders.
  3. Complete balance sheet reconciliations following defined procedures and best practices.
  4. Reconcile group bank accounts monthly.
  5. Participate in monthly stocktakes across various sites.
  6. Review nominal ledger postings for accuracy in line with processes.
  7. Create and process weekly financial reports for the organization.
  8. Support the Head of HR with the monthly payroll process, including collation of timesheets.
  9. Review aged debtor reports weekly, managing credit control.
  10. Assist with the external audit process.
  11. Own and proactively seek solutions for assigned tasks.
  12. Help review and develop internal financial controls.
  13. Maintain the central purchase ordering system.
  14. Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reviews.
  15. Train staff across sites on financial processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  1. Qualified or part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent.
  2. Minimum 3 years relevant accounting experience.
  3. Full driving license and access to a vehicle.
  4. Experience in producing management accounts.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  6. Experience with accounting systems and software.
  7. Proactive in improving systems and processes.
  8. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and workload prioritization.

Desirable: Experience with Sage Line 50 & Sage Payroll; experience in social enterprise/hospitality sector.
