Qualifications

  • Part or fully qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant with SME experience.
  • Experience in managing small finance teams and implementing systems.

Job description

RG Consultancy are working with a rapidly growing business on a brand-new role for a Management Accountant who wants to develop. You will work for a growing SME within a small finance team, report to and work closely with the Financial Director. You will be responsible for the management accounts, day to day running of the accounts department and oversee a small team of two accounts assistants.

The Role:

  • Preparation of monthly Management Accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Monthly Profit & Loss
  • VAT Returns
  • Supporting and overseeing a small transactional team
  • Supporting with leading projects, company growth and process improvements
  • Assisting with year end and audit preparations
  • Any other tasks to support the Finance Director as required

The Person:

  • CIMA/ACCA part or fully qualified
  • Worked within an SME as a Finance Manager or a larger business as a management accountant would be an advantage
  • Experience with implementation of a new system or department restructure/process change would be an advantage
  • Experienced with managing and overseeing a small accounts transactional team
