Job description

Allen Motor Group are currently looking to employ a Management Accountant based at our dealership in Northampton. The role is to provide support to the whole group with daily/weekly/monthly departmental financial analysis, including the production of the monthly management accounts, covering multiple sites. The position is offered on a 37.5-hour week, on a 3 month fixed term contract, Monday – Friday, paying up to £42,000 (pro rata) depending on experience and will report to the Senior Management Accountant.

Do I need experience?

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant, either fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or newly qualified, to join our dynamic team within the motor trade industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven finance professional to make a real impact in a fast-paced automotive business.

Other key attributes and skills we look for are:


Excellent analytical and numerical skills
High level of attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
Confident communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally
Commercial awareness and a proactive mindset
Previous motor trade accounts experience would be preferred but not essential
Previous experience with Kerridge would be very advantageous


Key Duties and Responsibilities


Preparation of monthly management accounts for multiple dealerships/sites
To be responsible for collating and checking weekly departmental forecasts
Prepare and submit manufacturer composites
Assist with internal and external auditors particularly at the end of the year
Month end balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and procedures
Work to create a supportive environment for all departmental managers & encourage communication for any financial matters.
