Job summary

Monahans, part of the Sumer Group, is seeking a Management Accountant to join the Business Outsourcing team in Chippenham. You will be responsible for end-to-end bookkeeping and the preparation of timely management accounts for a Built-to-Rent residential portfolio.

You will deliver high-quality financial reporting, maintain strong controls and provide actionable insights to support senior management, asset managers and investors.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Proven bookkeeping and management accounting experience.
• Experience in residential property or BTR preferred.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems capability.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and provide variance analysis.
• Act as finance contact for senior leaders and property teams, presenting financials clearly.
• Maintain accurate records, process transactions, and perform reconciliations across entities and SPVs.
• Reconcile rent rolls, monitor income, arrears, voids, and incentives; support budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, assist audits and tax reporting, improve financial systems and processes.
• Contribute to cost control and performance insights across the portfolio.
