Management Accountant - Food manufacturing

Join this innovative SME food business as a key member of the leadership team to support all aspects of finance management.

We are looking to hire a critical role within the Finance team to support the Managing Director of this SME food producer. The business has won numerous awards for innovation and uses leading edge technologies to provide ready-to-eat fresh produce solutions in retail and foodservice channels. The role has the official title of Management Accountant but could be an FC or Finance Manager. It is an integral role that will provide critical financial analysis and insights on the performance of the factory with a detailed focus on raw materials and packaging.

The business has complex operations working with European growers as well as co-pack manufacturing partnerships.

The role will require extensive travel across two locations in the south but will primarily be based from a Sussex location - it is therefore essential that this person is happy and well set up for a role with regular travel.

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following criteria:

1. You will currently be working within a Management Accountant, Finance Manager, or Finance Controller role.
2. You will have recent experience of working within Food Manufacturing, and any experience of Fresh Produce or Contract Manufacturing will be highly advantageous.
3. You will be well educated to degree level in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or similar and have a recognised professional qualification from a professional institution - ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW.
4. It is essential you have the right to work in the UK.
