Role Overview
We are looking for a commercially minded, highly analytical, and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our London-based finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role plays a critical part in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, supporting budgeting and forecasting cycles, and partnering with key departments across the business.
The ideal candidate will take ownership of core month-end responsibilities, deliver meaningful financial insights, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial processes in a fast-paced, international environment.
Key Responsibilities
P&L Reporting:
Prepare revenue reporting for multiple UK revenue streams and post monthly journals, ensuring accurate revenue recognition
Ensure Cost of Sales and Operating Expenses are accurate with appropriate accruals
Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packs for stakeholders
Present financial analysis and collaborate with both financial and non-financial stakeholders to inform business decisions
Balance Sheet:
Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
Prepare year-end financial statements for subsidiaries in compliance with applicable standards
Ownership, monthly review, and monitoring of the UK fixed assets and intangible asset registers
Cashflow Management:
Own the UK cashflow reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
Assist the AP/AR Controller and Credit team with debt collection and AP controls
Business Partnering / Other:
Support the development of annual budgets and periodic reforecasts in collaboration with the Financial Controller and department heads
Partner with global functional leads across HR, Legal, Technology, Marketing, and Content to track and analyse expenditure
Coordinate audit deliverables and act as a key contact for external auditors during the year-end process
Contribute to ad hoc projects such as acquisitions, strategic reporting, and system/process improvements
Drive improvements to financial operations and reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency
Ad hoc tasks as required & deputising when the Financial Controller is unavailable.
Required Qualifications and Skills
Part-qualified or recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
2–4 years of experience in management accounting or financial reporting
Strong MS Office & Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data modelling)
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
Comfortable working with stakeholders across different functions and levels
The ability to build effective working relationships with both internal and external partners
Pro-active, self-motivated and eager to acquire knowledge about the business
Ability to work well under pressure, working accurately with attention to detail and able to meet deadlines
The ability to always demonstrate confidentiality and diplomacy
