Job description

Job Title: Finance Manager / Management Accountant
Reports To: Head of Finance
Hours & Location: Monday-Friday, 0900-1730, Hybrid (2 days in-office, 3 days WFH), Wellingborough

Role Overview:
The Accountancy & Finance Division at The ONE Group is exclusively partnering with a leading distributing business. Reporting to the Head of Finance, as the Finance Manager you will oversee the financial operations and take ownership of key financial processes, contributing to operational improvements, and supporting the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day financial operations.
  • Work with the Head of Finance to optimise working capital and cash conversion cycle.
  • Support Operations and Sales in managing stock provision and clearance decisions.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support annual budget and financial forecast preparation.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide insightful analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal processes.
  • Assist with QuickBooks redesign and accounting process improvements.
  • Help develop internal controls, policies, and procedures to improve governance.
  • Collaborate with departments to track costs and ensure budget alignment.
  • Serve as a point of contact for financial queries from internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience:

  • Part qualified, Newly Qualified or Qualified in ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
  • Proven management accounting experience with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, calm under pressure, and deadline driven.
  • Proficiency in MS 365 and QuickBooks.
