Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Bradford, West Yorkshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Qualification Required: ACA, ACCA, CIMA (part or fully qualified)

Overview:

We are working in partnership with a successful and growing organisation in the Bradford area to recruit a proactive and detail-oriented Management Accountant. This is a great opportunity for a part or fully qualified accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a commercially focused and supportive environment.

The Role:

The Management Accountant will play a key role in the finance team, producing timely and accurate financial information to support the wider business. Working closely with senior management, you'll be responsible for delivering insights that influence decision-making and drive performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Preparation of monthly management accounts
  2. Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  3. Balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close activities
  4. Monitoring and reporting on financial performance and KPIs
  5. Supporting departmental managers with financial data and insights
  6. Assisting with year-end processes and audit preparation
  7. Reviewing and streamlining financial processes to improve efficiency
  8. Ad hoc reporting and project work as required
The Ideal Candidate:
  1. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA part or fully qualified
  2. Experience in a similar management accounting or commercial finance role
  3. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  4. Proficient in Excel and familiar with finance systems (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar)
  5. Ability to communicate effectively with non-finance colleagues
  6. Proactive and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset
