Abacus Consulting is recruiting a Management Accountant for a newly created role in the Bedford area. You will report to the Financial Controller and partner with senior management to deliver insightful financial analysis and robust reporting.

The role covers variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, VAT returns, and board pack preparation. A strong Excel user with COINS experience and professional qualifications is preferred; study support is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with COINS accounting software.
• Strong Excel proficiency for analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and manage accruals and prepayments.
• Handle VAT returns and prepare board packs.
• Provide business partnering support to senior management.
