Dealership Accountant Required for Commercial Vehicle Dealership

Location: Horsham, West Sussex
Company: Established Commercial Vehicle Dealership
Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent

We are currently seeking a Dealership Accountant to join our well-established Commercial Vehicle Dealership. This role is ideal for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with experience in the motor trade who can effectively oversee financial operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production of monthly management accounts
2. Preparation of an audit file for all balance sheet accounts each month
3. Supervision and maintenance of the fixed asset register
4. Completion of monthly vehicle stock takes
5. Ensuring accuracy in vehicle profit reports, capturing all costs and correctly reporting sales
6. Supervision of sales and purchase ledgers
7. Cost analysis of key expenditure areas
8. Credit control management
9. Updating the monthly sales log
10. Preparation and submission of the VAT return

1. Minimum of three years' experience as a Management Accountant
2. Experience within the automotive or commercial vehicle industry
3. Highly organised and computer literate
4. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
5. Excellent organisational and analytical skills
6. Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work
