Job summary

A growing engineering firm in Lisburn is seeking an experienced financial manager to enhance the decision support offerings for the executive team. Responsibilities include management accounts preparation, cashflow forecasting, and KPI reporting. The ideal candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications and strong teamwork skills. This role promises substantial career progression over the next 24 months with a potential move to a Financial Controller position.

Qualifications

  • Must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or a finalist.
  • Strong experience in management accounting is essential.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a commercial approach.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Forecasts.
  • Conduct cashflow forecasting.

£40k based on 4 day week eg FTE £50k

We are excited to be recruiting for a growing yet well established engineering business who are expanding their financial management team. Reporting to a very experienced FD you will gain extensive experience in enhancing the decision support offering to the executive team.

Key duties will include

  • Prepare management accounts including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Forecasts
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • KPI reports Actual v budget with insightful commentary
  • Financial oversight and control
  • Inventory management and control
  • Cost analysis with development of models

The ideal person

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or finalist level
  • Strong experience in management accounting
  • Excellent analytical skills with a commercial approach
  • Enjoys working in a team driven environment and able to present financial information with various audiences
  • IT skills well above the average particularly with Excel and MRP /ERP systems

This is an exciting opportunity within a rapidly growing sector and company. The post will offer real career progression and envisaged it will move to a FC role over the next 24 months.
