Job summary

Premier Foods is seeking a Management Accountant to join the Grocery Supply Chain Finance team in Worksop on a 6‑month FTC. You will partner with operational leaders to provide insight, challenge and financial control that drives site performance.

You’ll work with the Grocery Financial Controller and site leadership to influence decisions, support cost-saving initiatives and deliver robust budgets and forecasts across the Worksop site.

Qualifications

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing/operational finance.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience of SAP.
  • Ability to translate data into meaningful business insight.
  • Proactive problem solving and self-motivation.
  • Strong communication to challenge and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Centre Managers, Engineering and QA to drive performance.
  • Maintain day-to-day financial control at the Worksop site.
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reporting, forecasts and KPI packs.
  • Control, analyse and communicate site overhead spend.
  • Support stock control, yield analysis and factory reporting.
  • Manage balance sheet controls including accruals and prepayments.
  • Monitor capex and collaborate on investment projects.
  • Prepare robust budgets/forecasts and convey to site teams.
  • Produce labour forecasts and identify risks/opportunities.
  • Review product costing for accuracy and commercial insight.
  • Drive cost reduction through analysis and challenge.
  • Share best practice within the Grocery Supply Chain Finance team.

Are you a commercially minded finance professional with a passion for manufacturing and continuous improvement?

We're looking for a Management Accountant to join our Grocery Supply Chain Finance team in Worksop on a 6-month FTC. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within one of the UK's largest food businesses, partnering with operational leaders to provide insight, challenge and financial control that helps drive site performance.

Working closely with the Grocery Financial Controller and site leadership teams, you'll influence decision-making, support cost-saving initiatives and provide the financial insight needed to help our manufacturing operation perform at its very best.

What you'll be doing

  • Business partnering Centre Managers, Engineering and QA teams to drive operational and financial performance.
  • Providing day-to-day financial control across the Worksop manufacturing site.
  • Preparing weekly and monthly reporting, forecasts, KPIs and Financial Performance Reports.

  • Reviewing and challenging product costings, ensuring financial accuracy and commercial understanding.
  • Supporting cost reduction initiatives through insightful analysis and proactive challenge.
  • Playing an active role within the wider Grocery Supply Chain Finance team, sharing best practice and driving continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

  • CIMA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience.
  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or operational finance environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience of SAP.
  • The ability to interpret data and translate it into meaningful business insight.
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach to problem solving.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
