Management Accountant, Permanent job in Wolverhampton, £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Your new role

They are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join their small finance team. Duties for the role will involve:

  1. Preparation of monthly management accounts for senior management working to tight deadlines.
  2. Recommending strategies to reduce costs.
  3. Taking charge of the month-end process.
  4. Managing balance sheet reconciliations.
  5. Providing P&L variance analysis with commentary and recommendations for improvement.
  6. Participating in strategic budgeting and forecasting to drive financial/business planning and decision-making.
  7. Effectively communicating financial data to non-financial managers.
  8. Working closely with other departments to provide financial guidance and support.
  9. Offering professional input on financial matters and advising on ways of improving business performance.
  10. Evaluating, developing, and managing financial systems & policies, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will have strong maths skills as well as a background in basic accounting. They will be either qualified or qualified by experience and happy to work in a management accounting role. Along with the above, the ideal candidate will have the ability to analyse and summarise complex information, possess good interpersonal skills, and demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills.
