Overview

Are you an experienced finance professional looking for a role where your skills make a real difference? Do you enjoy variety in your work, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to contribute to an organisation with a strong social mission?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected not-for-profit organisation as a Management Accountant. Based in Coventry, you’ll work on-site five days per week during a six-month probation period, moving to a hybrid pattern of three days in the office and two from home once probation is complete.

You’ll play a pivotal role supporting the Head of Finance across all areas of financial management, helping to strengthen the organisation’s financial performance and ensure its continued impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of preparing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, providing clear analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making
  • Assist with annual budgets and forecasts, collaborating with managers to build financial understanding across the organisation
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliations, journals, and control accounts, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant
  • Support the development and improvement of financial systems, policies, and processes, driving efficiency and good governance
  • Play a key role in audit preparation and liaise confidently with auditors, external partners, and internal teams
  • Provide financial guidance and build strong relationships with non-finance colleagues to promote a culture of accountability and transparency
