Job summary

Butler Rose Ltd is assisting a client in Okehampton to recruit a Management Accountant. Responsibilities

• Preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts, including commentary.
• Accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Weekly supplier payment runs and bank reconciliations.
• Completing monthly payroll reconciliations.
• VAT returns.
• Monitoring cash flow, budgets, and forecasts.
• Supporting the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Producing ad hoc financial analyses and reports to support decision-making.

We are supporting a client in Okehampton with the recruitment of a Management Accountant. The organisation is entering an exciting phase of investment, refurbishment, and growth, creating an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to make a real impact within a dynamic and evolving environment.

About the Role

As Management Accountant, you will play a key role within the on-site finance team, supporting the delivery of accurate financial reporting, business planning, and operational decision-making. You will work closely with both finance and non-finance stakeholders across the business, helping to drive financial performance and support future growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of weekly and monthly management accounts, including commentary
• Accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Weekly supplier payment runs and bank reconciliations
• Completing monthly payroll reconciliations
• VAT returns
• Monitoring cash flow, budgets, and forecasts

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working as a Management Accountant desirable
• AAT Level 4 qualified or equivalent
• Confident presenting financial information to a variety of audiences
• Competent user of Excel
• Ability to reliably commute to and from Okehampton
