About the role

As Management Accountant, you will take ownership of producing accurate, timely and useful financial information for Resulting. You will lead the day-to-day month-end process, management reporting and financial analysis, helping the CFO and leadership team understand performance and make informed decisions. You will be responsible for cash management and cash-flow forecasting, statutory audit preparation and finance-related compliance across the business, including our US subsidiary. This is a hands-on role for someone who works well at pace, maintains high standards of detail and looks for practical ways to improve processes. As the wider team develops, the role may also include line management responsibility for members of the finance team and day-to-day ownership of the month-end and annual audit processes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Own the processes behind the group annual budget and forecast across the UK and US subsidiaries, including gathering data, preparing files and supporting updates, working closely with the CFO and budget holders.
  • Maintain balance-sheet reconciliations and ensure issues are identified, investigated and resolved promptly.
  • Produce clear management information, KPI reporting and analysis for budget holders and the SLT.
  • Partner with the SLT to explain financial performance, challenge assumptions and support effective cost control.
  • Responsible for cash management and cash-flow forecasting, including working-capital analysis and debtor reporting.
  • Responsible for statutory audit preparation by maintaining accurate records, preparing supporting schedules and responding to audit queries.
  • Manage finance-related compliance across the business, including the requirements of the US subsidiary.
  • Strengthen financial controls, reporting processes and documentation across the finance function.
  • Improve finance systems, data quality and automation to support scalable ways of working.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider finance team, supporting shared priorities and continuous improvement.
  • Run payroll across the UK and US entities, taking this over from the current payroll owner once the role is established.
