Management Accountant – Thetford

We are seeking a dedicated Management Accountant to join our clients manufacturing team in Thetford. As a Management Accountant, you will play a critical role in maintaining financial accuracy, ensuring timely reporting, and supporting cost control initiatives across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Financial Controller in maintaining and controlling divisional expenditure.
• Timely and accurate accounts reporting to ensure financial integrity.
• Cost accounting for multiple projects.
• Responsible for the end–of–month Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) submissions.
• Prepare departmental Profit and Loss (P/L) accounts.
• Assist with annual budgeting, re–forecasting, and audit preparation.
• Administer and manage project–related financial activities.
• Complete and maintain balance sheet reconciliations.
• Create and monitor general ledger codes to ensure proper financial reporting.
• Record inter–company costs and ensure accurate transactional data.
• Participate in ad–hoc projects, encouraging cost control and efficiency improvements throughout the business.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Desirable: AAT Qualified or studying towards a professional accountancy qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• Strong double–entry accounts experience, with a solid understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate data and create meaningful reports.
• Ability to successfully interact with employees at all levels within the organisation, developing positive relationships.
