Job description

We are looking for an experienced part/fully qualified accountant to join a Finance team based at our client’s head office in Bristol. This is a new role to support an existing team through a period of change and add value to the financial function in business. We are looking for a team member that would be able to assist with existing tasks as well as comfortably manage their own workload to meet financial deadlines. The ideal candidate will be able to collate, analyse and interpret data from various sources.

Due to the changes/growth in the business over the coming months, this role is offered on a FTC contract with the potential to go permanent.

Main Duties:
  • Review and allocation of operational and overhead costs to relevant cost centres using Oracle cost centre/project/function coding.
  • Preparing, reviewing and posting journals to Oracle.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with resolving AP and AR issues, manage aged debtors and creditors.
  • Assist with various reporting including month end, project/overhead reporting/cashflow reporting.
  • Assist and liaise with commercial and operational teams over monthly cost value reconciliations.
  • Support with external audit (Interim).
  • Ad hoc support to finance teams.
Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience:
  • Education: Part or newly qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experience: 3 years experience working in a finance team.
  • Ideally experience working with Oracle or similar ERP system.
