Do you want to become part of one of the UK's largest motor retailers? We are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join us at Vertu Ford in Stafford and Crewe

We are offering a fantastic salary of £35,000 plus company benefits.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Management Accountant or Assistant Accountant looking to take the next step up. A working knowledge of Kerridge or similar accounting systems is ideal but not essential, as well as previous motor trade experience. You must be able to communicate effectively with all financial and non-financial colleagues, clients, and customers.

You will possess excellent numerical, organisational, and communication skills. As a learning organization, we want our new accountant to be actively engaged in coaching and mentoring their team to instil a learning culture within the business.

You will work alongside the accountant in producing spreadsheets and statistical data to support the management team and aid business decisions.

In addition to day-to-day accounts, you will also complete the following tasks:

  • Forecasts
  • Estimates
  • Production of Management Accounts
  • Payroll
  • Reconciliation of balance sheets
  • Accruals and prepayments
  • Cash flow
  • Reconciling manufacturer bonuses
We are looking for the following attributes:
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
  • Good organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
