Enovert is one of the UK’s leading providers of waste management services.Our primary operations include 7 operational landfill sites, 3 composting facilities and 2 waste transfer stations across which Enovert manages in excess of 2.3 million tonnes of waste per annum.
Enovert is also a significant generator of renewable energy, primarily based on the extraction of gas from our landfill sites.Enovert’s sites produce approximately 150 GWh of electricity each year – enough electricity to power 60,000 homes.
Enovert also provide specialist services for the management and aftercare of landfill sites including site environmental engineering, environmental monitoring, site restoration, landfill gas management and utilisation plus the development of closed sites for green space and renewable energy projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who’s not only technically sound, but also ready to drive real insight and influence within a growing, values-driven organisation.
As Management Accountant for Enovert South, you will be responsible for full end-to-end financial management and reporting. You’ll own the monthly accounts, deliver detailed variance analysis, and provide robust financial insight to help guide business decisions. This role goes beyond the numbers—you’ll be an active part of the operations, working closely with Site Managers and Area Leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
·Produce accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet ownership
·Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies
·Deliver insightful variance analysis and commentary
·Lead monthly Area Manager meetings, presenting financial performance and trends
·Oversee and support a small team, including a Finance Administrator and Credit Controller
·Submit accurate Landfill Tax and VAT returns on a quarterly basis
·Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and associated controls
·Manage royalty payments and waste rating processes in line with contractual obligations
·Monitor restoration volumes and ensure HMRC compliance
·Conduct waste ticket exception reporting and analysis
·Drive budget preparation and year-end reporting, including stat packs and tax analysis
·Support and deputise for the Financial Controller – Waste when needed
·Act as a Weighsoft Superuser, supporting system efficiency and adoption across the business
Skills and Experience:
·CIMA or ACCA qualified, with proven post-qualification experience in a similar role
·A confident communicator who can simplify complex financial data for operational teams
·Analytical and proactive, with strong Excel skills and a high attention to detail
·Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines
·A strong team player, with experience leading or mentoring finance staff
·Experience in the waste, energy, or industrial sectors is desirable but not essential
·Knowledge of Access Dimensions or Weighsoft is a plus
