The role will be site based with an element of flexibility.
Your challenge for the Management Accountant:-
- Manage month-end and year-end financial processes to ensure accuracy and compliance, inclusive of monthly P&L’s and Balance Sheet.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with group timetables, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and reforecasts, providing insightful variance analysis.
- Maintenance of the Fixed asset register as well as the associated controls.
- Completion of accurate bank recs.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure financial targets are met.
- Ensuring accounting policies and procedures align with group standards.
- Provide financial advice and insights to senior management.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvementsKey skills & experience for the Management Accountant:-
- Proven experience as a Management Accountant is essential, ideally within an FMCG environment.
- Qualified/Part Qualified (Final Stages) CIMA/ACCA
- Strong understanding of management accounting principles, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting is essential.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills is essential.
- Previous experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous.
- The ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively is critical.
