Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:

  • Preparing and delivering monthly management accounts for key cost centres
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for central overheads
  • Producing financial commentary to explain performance trends to senior stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate general ledger records, accruals, and prepayments
  • Supporting the audit process with timely and accurate reporting
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with operational and commercial teams
  • Identifying and driving improvements in reporting and controls


The Successful Applicant

The successful Management Accountant will be:

  • Part-Qualified (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) - study support available
  • 2+ years' experience in a management accounting or financial reporting role
  • Confident Excel user (pivot tables, lookups, ideally basic macros)
  • Comfortable working independently and partnering with senior non-finance stakeholders
  • Eye for detail and a strong sense of ownership over deadlines
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and problem-solving
