Job description

We’re looking for a Management Accountant to join our finance team, playing a key leadership role in managing the finance transactional team. This position offers opportunities to drive process improvements, enhance departmental performance, and develop staff. You will also be involved in implementing new technologies to foster a digitally-focused and efficient workplace. Key Responsibilities

1. Perform month-end procedures
2. Conduct variance analysis with commentary
3. Manage Purchase & Sales Ledgers
4. Perform bank and account reconciliations
5. Analyze cash flow
6. Manage central contracts store
7. Oversee payment processing and implement new payment methods
8. Prepare VAT returns and liaise with HMRC
9. Support audits as required

Requirements

Experience

• At least 3 years of experience in finance
• At least 3 years of team management experience

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proactive approach and initiative-driven
• Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels
• Highly organized
• Strong analytical and reporting skills

Qualifications

• QBE or recognized professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
