Job description

Anderson Knight is looking to recruit an experienced Management Accountant to join one of our long–standing clients based in the outskirts of Edinburgh. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and growing company in a key role within the finance team.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the key duties of this role will include:

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
• Analyse financial performance and provide commentary on variances to budget and forecast
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of month–end processes
• Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide financial information and analysis
• Assist with the preparation of annual statutory accounts and tax returns
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency
• Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and analysis as required.

The ideal candidate will possess the following key skills:

• A newly qualified or part–qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret data
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience using accounting software
• Experience of working in a fast–paced environment and ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
