Job description

We are seeking a dynamic Part Qualified Accountant for a 10-12 Month Fixed Term Contract.

Role: Management Accountant

Responsibilities include:

1. Supporting recording, reconciliation, and analysis of accounting activities and period-end close processes.
2. Performing reconciliations of key control data, including GL balances, receivables, payables, accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
3. Preparing and reviewing journal entries, with a focus on automation and elimination of manual processes.
4. Providing insights during period-end close to FP&A and Business Partner teams, focusing on key cost drivers.
5. Collaborating across the finance team to document, align, and improve processes for efficiency.
6. Building strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure accurate ledger and variance analysis.
7. Supporting regulatory accounting returns and external reporting requirements.
8. Preparing accounting returns for external stakeholders and facilitating related payments.
9. Responding to ad hoc analytics requests to support cost visibility, business cases, and financial performance investigations.

Location: Reading - Hybrid

Working pattern: 36 Hours/week

Candidate requirements:

• Part Qualified ACCA/ACA or CIMA with management accounting experience.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, systems, and procedures.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good Excel skills; experience with SAP is beneficial.

• Salary: £42,000 - £52,000 per annum, depending on experience.
