Our business at XPS continues to grow and we are now looking for a Management Accountant to support a recent acquisition and join our vibrant office with hybrid working. This is an exciting role and would most likely suit someone, not necessarily with an accounting qualification but with previous experience in a similar role where they have gained knowledge and experience of working with senior stakeholders, supporting them with all their billing, analytics and reporting (for example, timesheet analysis, PO's reconciliations, contractor accruals/ true up analysis).

The Team

The finance team are based in Reading. It supports the business in a number of ways. It raises sales invoices to clients, pays supplier bills, employee expenses, produces timely, accurate and relevant financial information that meets the needs of the business and fulfils statutory reporting requirements.

The Role

As a Management Accountant with XPS you will:

• Gain expert knowledge and understanding of all things Polaris (newly acquired Insurance Consulting business)
• Support divisional management with monthly management accounts activities
• Manage the monthly billing process and ensure all sales invoices are issued accurately and in a timely manner
• Perform balance sheet and timesheet reconciliations
• Support the wider finance team during the month end cycle including revenue related analysis and KPI's
• Work with the Finance systems team to develop and maintain a resourcing database
• Proactively seek and implement improvements to processes
  

Your profile

Essential Criteria

• Confident; able to interact with senior members of the business
• Strong excel skills; capable of using Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUP's and aware of potential pitfalls with using these features.
• Organised, friendly, enthusiastic team player
• A self-starter who can demonstrate the ability to develop and improve processes.
  
• Flexible approach to working in a busy team
