Job summary

RG Consultancy is seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join their Preston team. You will manage day-to-day finance tasks across multiple entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial information.

The role reports to the Company Owner and involves leading the month-end close, variance analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. You will work across the group, maintain strong internal controls, support annual planning, and liaise with external auditors.

Qualifications

• Experience with management accounting across multiple entities.
• Ability to prepare variance analysis and commentary for senior stakeholders.
• Strong balance sheet reconciliation and control mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process across entities.
• Produce timely management accounts with variance analysis and commentary.
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations and escalate concerns as needed.
• Maintain internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Support annual business planning across the group.
• Oversee sales and purchase ledgers and daily reconciliations.
• Be the main contact for external stakeholders and auditors.

RG Consultancy are delighted to be working with an excellent, well-established business basedin Preston who are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their team.

This Management Accountant role requires someone to take responsibility of the day-to-day finance tasks across multiple entities.Reporting directly to the Company Owner, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity and timelinessof financial information.

Duties include:

• Leading the month-end close process
• Preparing timely and accurate management accounts including detailed variance analysis and commentary
• Completing balance sheet reconciliations and escalating any concerns
• Maintain strong internal controls and a program of continuous process improvement
• Supporting with the annual business planningacross the group
• Overseeing sales and purchase ledger
• Daily sales and bank reconciliations
• Be the key point of contact for external stakeholders
• Supporting year-end process and working closely with external auditors

This Management Accountant role is ideal for someone who is used to working across multiple entities and is comfortable with complete end-to-end accounts. There will be excellent scope to develop and would suit someone who is looking to move into a Financial Controller role in the next few years.
