Job description

An exciting opportunity to join the internal finance function (NFO) on a fixed-term contract as a Management Accountant at the Manager level. The team is responsible for monthly management accounts, journals, firm-wide overheads, core function reporting, and balance sheet reporting, including monthly reconciliations for areas such as accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, payables, receivables, and ad-hoc projects.

This is a wide and varied role with strong professional development opportunities. The successful candidate will play an integral role in driving forward the management accounts function of the firm and will be responsible for developing junior team members.

Responsibilities

• Manage, coach, and develop junior colleagues, supporting their professional growth and contributing to the team culture.
• Lead risk management efforts, ensuring compliance of balance sheet reconciliations with regulatory and internal standards, with documented processes and controls.
• Maintain accurate and complete accounting records, producing meaningful and insightful management information based on a strong business understanding.
• Challenge existing processes to ensure they are robust, efficient, and accurate.
• Undertake specific projects as agreed.
• Develop a thorough understanding of the firm’s internal finance reporting systems and methodologies.
• Promote collaboration within NFO to ensure best practices are adopted.
