Job description

We’re looking for a proactive and collaborative Management Accountant to join our UK Finance Team in Oxford. This is a six-month fixed-term role with the potential to become permanent for the right person.

As a Management Accountant, you’ll help ensure our financial operations are accurate, timely, and insightful. You’ll work closely with business controllers, management, and other stakeholders to support compliance and decision-making across AFRY’s UK operations.

Key responsibilities

You will work with the finance team, business controllers, and wider UK and Group finance teams to:

  • Lead monthly management accounting for our M&A division
  • Oversee balance sheet control, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy
  • Support external audits and prepare annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with UK GAAP/IFRS, VAT, and corporate tax regulations
  • Collaborate with our finance teamand manage accounts payable/receivable
  • Provide financial input for proposals and client/vendor due diligence
Qualifications

You’ll bring:

  • Solid experience in finance within a medium to large organisation
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with statutory accounts
  • Excellent Excel skills and a knack for turning data into meaningful insights
  • A commercial mindset with the confidence to challenge and improve processes
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work well independently and in teams
  • A proactive, organised approach in a fast-paced environment
