Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our expanding team based in Northampton or Banbury. The ideal candidate will support financial reports, budgeting, and forecasting, working closely with the management accountant. This role offers an excellent opportunity for gaining exposure to month-end management accounts.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 5:00 pm (some flexibility may be required depending on business needs). We offer a competitive salary and benefits package with the chance to work for a forward-thinking market leader.

Job Purpose

As a Management Accountant, you will produce management accounts and commentary for key business areas.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting: Prepare reports for central overhead cost centres, including profit and loss and balance sheet statements.
2. Data Entry: Accurately input financial data into accounting systems and maintain up-to-date records.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring performance against these budgets.
4. Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
5. Administrative Tasks: Manage tasks such as handling the central mailbox and responding to business queries.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant – CIMA, ACCA, or ACA
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in management or financial accounting
• Strong Excel skills, including functions like pivot tables, lookups, and macros
• Proactive in identifying and implementing process improvements
• Knowledge of accounting regulations, procedures, and legislation
• Attention to detail and ability to review for errors
