Job Title: Management Accountant
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join a professional finance team in Newcastle. This role offers the chance to support a range of accounting and payroll functions within a friendly and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

You will work closely with the finance team, assisting with day-to-day accounting and reporting, including:

  • Processing monthly payroll, including journals, reconciliations, and pension uploads
  • Managing sales ledger activity and posting invoices on a regular basis
  • Performing nominal and bank reconciliations within Xero or similar accounting software
  • Producing management accounting reports and reviewing profit and loss statements
  • Maintaining daily cashflow records for all accounts
  • Posting credit card journals and supporting purchase ledger activities
  • Assisting with supplier payments and liaising with vendors as needed
  • Supporting the team with general HR, office administration, and ad-hoc finance duties
Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of Xero or equivalent accounting software
  • Experience processing payroll and managing reconciliations
  • Ability to prepare management accounts and understand P&L statements
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
