Description
As a Senior Management Accountant, you will play a key role in managing financial operations at Head Office. This role involves producing management accounts, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and supporting business partners across various departments.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including balance sheet reconciliations and departmental P&Ls.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance across departments, regions, and projects.
• Business Partner for Head Office cost centres, supporting planning, cost reviews, and recharge policies.
• Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of balance sheet items and external loan balances.
• Manage group recharges, loan transactions, and compliance with IFRS9 and transfer pricing policies.
• Oversee VAT returns, tax compliance, and liaise with external tax advisors.
• Support the implementation of consistent accounting practices for flexible benefits and investments.
• Assist with financial reporting, group relief adjustments, and dividend procedures.
• Contribute to the development and documentation of finance processes.
• Other tasks and projects as required.
Key Requirements
• Professional accounting qualification.
• Strong academic background and at least 3 years of industry experience.
• Experience in highly acquisitive, private equity-funded, or professional services businesses preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, confident in handling complex financial issues at Director and FC level.
Additional Requirements
• Proven ability to develop internal processes and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel.
