ManagementAccountant|Manchester|Hybrid/FlexibleWorking|Full-Time|

We’re on the hunt for a Management Accountant. The Management Accountant will be responsible for the success of the finance department’s day to day operations but also provide key insights to support the Finance Manager and senior management team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow within the role and Sorted.

What you’ll be doing:
No two days are ever the same at Sorted so what you’ll be up to will vary. The pace we move at also means priorities will change and you’ll need to be comfortable with this (we’ll support you!). But these are the things that will be core to your role and will keep you busy.

  • Prepare monthly management accounts and group consolidation using Xero and Joiin
  • Prepare monthly board pack
  • Oversee AR, AP, prepayments and accruals
  • Oversee payroll, P11D and PSA
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
  • Business partner with Heads of Department to provide insight to business-making decisions
  • Manage cash flow and optimise working capital to ensure financial stability
  • Assist in financial planning, including regular forecasting, modelling and reporting on financial performance (Opex and Capex)
  • H1 and year-end statutory group and account preparation under IFRS
  • Lead the year-end audit
  • Timely and accurate CT calculation filing and R&D claims and act as the key contact for HMRC on these
  • Financial analysis and insights to support investment appraisals and executive decision making
  • Development and maintenance of integrated financial models to support business planning and investment processes
  • Preparation and execution of financial due diligence processes when required to support the Company’s fundraising activities
  • Liaise with external stakeholders including investors, banks and third-party advisors
  • Design and implementation of robust and efficient scalable finance processes that facilitate smooth day to day operating and support future growth
  • Other finance activities as needed from time to time by the business

What we’re looking for:

  • Hands-on finance and accounting background
  • CIMA / ACCA / ACA qualified / qualified by experience - or international equivalent
  • FP&A and modelling experience
  • Knowledge of P&L and working capital drivers
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience in a SME SaaS business (desirable)
  • Experience in Xero (desirable)
  • Experience in HubSpot (desirable)
