Job description

We are delighted to be partnering with a market-leading SME Manufacturing business in North Manchester, to recruit an experienced Management Accountant. This is a newly created, high-impact, highly visible role, reflecting the company's impressive expansion in recent years. It's an exciting opportunity for a driven and experienced Management Accountant to contribute to strategic growth.

As the Management Accountant, the role will report directly to the CFO. You will play a key role in providing timely and accurate Management Accounts while providing commercial insight to make informed decisions. This role offers an outstanding career progression for a hands-on Management Accountant looking to make a tangible impact on a growing SME business.

Key Responsibilities will include:

1. Prepare monthly management accounts including comprehensive variance analysis and insightful commentary.
2. Analyse P&L statements, budgets, and forecasts to guide decision-making.
3. Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
4. Business Partner with operational teams to improve cost control and profitability.
5. Maintain and reconcile key financial reports, ensuring data integrity.
6. Support cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
7. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and assist with audits.
8. Work closely with senior stakeholders, translating financial data into commercially valuable insights.

Ideally, you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:

1. CIMA, ACCA, ACA Qualified, Part Qualified or QBE.
2. Demonstrated expertise in management accounting.
3. Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced SME environments.
4. Advanced IT skills, with proficiency in Excel and experience using ERP systems.
5. A collaborative and team-oriented mindset with a strong focus on delivering results.
6. Manufacturing, Retail or FMCG experience would be advantageous.
