In this key role, you'll provide high-quality financial and management accounting services, partnering with senior stakeholders and directorates to ensure accurate reporting, sound decision-making, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver timely and effective management accounting services and reports
- Partner with internal directorates to support financial decision-making
- Provide professional financial advice and identify areas for improvement
- Support and enhance finance processes, systems, and compliance
- Produce monthly management accounts, monitoring reports and statutory returns
- Assist with year-end processes and external audits
- Train and guide stakeholders on financial procedures and systems
- Work closely with senior stakeholders and external partners
Required Skills, Qualifications and Attributes:- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
- Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (CIPFA, CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
- Excellent communication, analysis and stakeholder engagement skills
- Working knowledge of public sector finance, regulations, and governance
