Management Accountant

Location: Central London (Hybrid working available, after initial onboarding)

About the Company:

Our client is a leading and innovative firm in the Financial Services sector based in Central London, known for delivering tailored financial solutions across investment, wealth management, and advisory services. Due to continued growth, they seek a talented Management Accountant to join their finance team and help drive their financial strategy forward.

The Role:

As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and delivering timely financial reporting and analysis that will inform key business decisions. This role is ideal for someone who is part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) and looking to build on their experience in financial services while working in a fast-paced, professional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing insights into financial performance
• Monitor and analyse departmental costs and profitability, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Perform month-end processes, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare VAT returns and support tax compliance processes
• Assist in year-end processes and support external audit preparations
• Provide financial insights to senior management to support strategic decision-making
• Collaborate with various teams to streamline financial processes and improve controls
• Ad hoc financial reporting and analysis as required

Key Requirements:

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) or actively studying
• Previous experience in a management accounting role, ideally within financial services, banking, or related industries
• Solid understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
• Strong Excel skills; experience with financial systems (Xero) is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail, with a proactive and analytical mindset
