Job description

RG Consultancy is proud to be working with an established and reputable client in the engineering industry, seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their supportive and knowledgeable team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Management Accountant reports to the Financial Director and is responsible for the following duties:

• Performing month-end tasks such as preparing journals for accruals, prepayments, and fixed assets.
• Preparing monthly balance sheet and cash flow reports, and managing inter-company reconciliations.
• Overseeing the monthly expenses process, including managing the expenses system and ensuring payment of approved expenses.
• Liaising with key stakeholders.
• Preparing and submitting quarterly UK VAT returns, including payment of liabilities.
• Performing bank reconciliations.
• Supporting internal and external audits as required and attending audit reviews with the Finance Director.
• Preparing annual statutory accounts and audit packs to ensure timely submission.
