Job Purpose

The Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting financial decision-making by preparing, analysing, and reporting financial data. This role ensures the accuracy of financial information, contributes to budgeting and forecasting processes, and provides insights to improve business performance. This role can pay between £180-£190 per day on a PAYE basis, and can offer hybrid working of 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary.
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance against budget and KPIs.
  • Support cost control initiatives and identify areas for financial improvement.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to understand financial drivers and support strategic decisions.
  • Provide financial analysis for business cases, projects, and investment decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
  • Liaise with external auditors and support year-end audit processes.
  • Continuously improve financial reporting systems and processes.
Qualifications & Experience
  • QBE, Part-qualified or Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Proven experience in a management accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles and reporting standards.
  • Proficiency in financial software
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with data analysis tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
