Job summary

Additional Resources is seeking a Management Accountant to support financial reporting and commercial analysis for a leading sports media and events business. The role offers £50,000–£60,000 salary with discretionary bonus and benefits, and hands-on exposure to major sporting events.

You will produce quarterly accounts, analyse performance, support budgeting and governance, and work with operational teams to drive improvements. A proactive, organised candidate with strong Excel skills will excel.

Qualifications

An opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a well-established sports media and events company, specialising in promoting and producing live sporting events across a wide range of disciplines.

As a Management Accountant, you will support financial reporting and commercial analysis, working with operational teams to inform business decisions and support major sporting events. This full-time permanent role offers a salary range of £50,000 - £60,000 with discretionary bonus and benefits.

You will be responsible for:

• Producing quarterly management accounts and related schedules for individual entities
• Prepare quarterly management accounts and financial reports for multiple entities.
• Analyse post-event financial performance, including budget comparisons and variance reports.
• Work with operational teams to identify financial risks, opportunities and improvement areas.
• Support budgeting, financial planning and commercial decision-making.
• Assist with external audits and maintain accurate financial reporting.
• Conduct project-based financial analysis and present findings to stakeholders.
• Enhance financial reporting processes, systems and operational efficiencies.
• Ensure adherence to group financial controls and governance procedures.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

• Previously worked as a Management Accountant or in a similar role.
• Management accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Fully or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similar)
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret financial data.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance teams.
• A proactive, organised and practical approach, with good attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Experience managing finances across multiple entities or group structures.
• Background with accounting systems and business intelligence tools.
