Overview

A large construction company in Hull is looking for an experienced Management Accountant. As demand for their products continues to grow, they are seeking a skilled and ambitious Management Accountant to join their team, providing financial insight and support to this fast-paced, operationally focused part of the business. This role is central to the ongoing success of the Building Products Division. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, deliver meaningful analysis, and support decision-making across production, sales, and logistics. Working closely with operational managers, you’ll provide the information needed to optimise performance and profitability.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for the Building Products Division.
  • Detailed margin, production, and cost analysis to support commercial decisions.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis with clear commentary.
  • Business partnering with divisional managers to provide financial guidance.
  • Monitoring stock, materials usage, and production efficiency from a financial perspective.
  • Supporting continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
About You
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with manufacturing or construction sector experience desirable.
  • Strong management accounting skills, ideally in a product-led or operational environment.
  • Analytical and commercially minded with the ability to challenge and influence.
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience with accounting systems.
  • Strong communicator who can translate financial data into actionable insights.
